Story time! Made during a time where I was feeling lost in direction, the only thing I knew I wanted to do in life was help people learn to dance and it truly brings me the deepest happiness to do so. After going through a traumatic event in my life in 2014, I often looked to the stars for guidance and healing for myself, because thinking of the bigger picture of life itself calmed my anxiety. Having the galaxy in my logo was a must. The colors of teal and purple represent my soul colors, I've always been attracted to these colors since I was little. My family and people that have known me since childhood predicted that I would be a teacher of some sort because I love to help people and I know how to explain things in a way people understand. I love to build community to connect people. This connects to the Healing Hand part of the logo which derived from Native American symbolism (as far as I know, but maybe the symbol is actually much much older), which can symbolize eternity or the path of our existence on earth. It also can mean energy that emits from , or spiritual healer, all of which I deeply connect to. I believe touch has the power to heal, like a REAL hug, being so close to another person body, and the power of holding someones hand in social dance, transmits more than we know. Sometimes while dancing I have the feeling of ultimate bliss, a feeling I can't describe but it is higher than any emotion I can describe, overwhelmed by happiness, connectedness, and unconditional love. A feeling we can get to with Zouk; And the foundation for what makes Zouk so special and is the basis of which I build Community.

PS - Also funny story - what makes this logo unique was actually my brothers first attempt at graphic design and he ended up just drawing my step brothers hand linked with my hand on a piece of paper and then trying to draw it free hand in "paint" lol!
