Brandon is BaAack in RDU and ready to see you all again! He wanted to share so many more things at the cabin, but our time was limited so he saved all the best stuff for this weekend! For those who don’t know Brandon helped me start up the zouk scene after Covid and he is known for his love and dedication to small communities to help grow Zouk! 

If you are a beginner to Zouk, feel free to come! Even if it is a little above your level, it’s a great opportunity to meet friends and get a taste of what zouk is like! (Brandon has a build up style that starts from simplicity and works towards more complex movements and ideas but he makes it seem so easy to even the beginners joining us!)

LOCATION: Durham Friends Meeting (Quaker house) 404 Alexander Ave, Durham, NC 27705 

PARKING: *It’s a little further than GPS - look for Ronald Mcdonald parking sign, we are in building on right side on SECOND floor* Park on the **right side** of the parking lot downhill from the meetinghouse is fair game, however, please refrain from parking on the left. It is for Ronald McDonald House staff and guests. The small DFM Lot to the right in front of the little meetinghouse close to Alexander Ave is small but also fair game. 

          The Duke Security Lot that is directly across the street from DFM is also fair game unless a specific parking spot says otherwise. DO NOT PARK in the lot downhill from the Duke Security Lot, beside the Episcopal Student Center. Also DO NOT PARK in the lot near the Campus Security Office which fronts on Oregon St. It is at the far end of the lot beside the Episcopal Center. There is also some street parking available.

A bit about Brandon: 

He is known for his connection and ability to rally up a zouk crowd no matter where he travels! 

He states “In my dance I like to focus on playing in structure, connection and breathe. I play with these elements to create movement and spark communication with any human I dance with. I have been dancing zouk for 7 years and I started with bachata and salsa for 10 years. I have taken classes in contemporary, ballet and hip hop classes to integrate in zouk these past couple of years. I want to understand other structures of languages in dance in order to incorporate play into structure. And I have taken yoga and meditation classes focusing on breathe work. I love to play with energy in my movement and I believe it is essential to play and being aware of safety.”
